40Gb/s QSFP+ Transceiver with SR for multimode fiber
Three types of 40G QSFP + optical modules: 40G QSFP + SR4 150m, 40G QSFP + LR4 10km and 40G QSFP + PSM LR4 2km.
The 40G QSFP+SR4 optical module is often used with MPO/MTP connector in 40G network transmission. It can support 100m transmission distance when matching OM3 hopping line and 150m transmission distance when matching OM4 hopping line. It supports the maximum low power consumption of 1.5W and hot plug QSFP package.
40G SR4 QSFP+ optical module principle
The 40G SR4 QSFP + optical module is often used with MPO / MTP connectors in 40G data transmission. It has four independent full duplex channels and is transmitted through four channels at the same rate as LR4. The difference is that the 40G SR4 QSFP + optical module is often used with multi-mode fiber, the transmission distance is 100m when used with OM3 fiber jumper, and 150m when used with OM4 fiber jumper.
The working principle of the 40GBASE-SR4 optical module is as follows: when the signal is transmitted at the transmitter, the electrical signal is first converted into the optical signal by the laser array; when the signal is transmitted at the transmitter, when the signal is received at the receiver, the photoelectric detector array converts the parallel optical signal into the parallel electrical signal.
