Characteristics

 

The reinforcing members in optical cable can be metal reinforcing members of high strength stainless steel wire or phosphating steel wire, or non-metal reinforcing members of polyester aramid filament or other suitable fiber bundles. They should have sufficient Young's modulus and elastic strain range.
(2) The reinforcement component of the optical cable should be two, parallel symmetrical to the optical cable, and a thick steel wire suspension on the side.
Sheath requirements
(1) For PVC sheathed optical cable, sheath material should conform to HR-70 type of "70 C soft sheath grade PVC plastic" in GB/T 8815, and for flame retardant polyethylene sheathed optical cable, sheath material should conform to YD/T 1113.
(2) The surface of the sheath should be smooth and smooth, and there should be no visible cracks, bubbles and sand holes on the cross-section.
The sheath should be continuously extruded and wrapped on the optical fiber and reinforced components.
(4) The color of the sheath is generally black. It can also be produced according to other colors required by users.

Many domestic small factories modified electric-wires equipment to produce FTTH cable. They used unqualified fibers which is with very cheap price 3USD/KM to imitate G657 bend-resistant fiber, waste electric-wires and rubber slippers smashed as pvc raw material for the LSZH outer sheath. Those inferior cables will cause many problems such as short transmission distance, low bandwidth, intermittent signal and easy-to-crack of the cable jacket in several months, etc.
